Swim Course - 0.46 Miles (1 loop)

The one loop swim takes place in Keuka Lake, a fairly calm lake, in the Finger Lakes Region of NY State. The course is expected to be either a triangular or rectangular loop (depending on wind and surface chop). The water temperature is typically in the 60s to low 70s.  Wetsuits will be allowed.

The swim is a wave start. Check the website approximately one week before the race for exact wave start times.

After the lap, exit the water, climb the stairs, cross Lake Ave., and head to the transition area on your right. No fear, there will be something to prevent you from slipping on the twenty-nine stair steps that you have to climb, as well as a carpet across Lake Avenue.  However, please be careful while walking around in the water away from the swim start and finish areas, because the zebra mussels in the lake are everywhere and are very, very sharp!

The ChampionChip system will be used to time the race and to ensure everyone completes a full lap.  Swim lap times will be available on the website one day after the race.
