6/10/08-From
the Council for Responsible Sport Jonathon Eng
As you are well aware the 2008 racing season is here and it is in full swing.
I'd like to recognize the first three completed races in the Council for
Responsible Sport, pilot Seedling Race Program: CB&I Triathlon in Woodlands TX,
Reno Half Marathon in Reno NV and Keuka Lake Triathlon
in upstate NY. All three have made significant green efforts in their
events leaving more of an impact on their participants than the venues at which
they are held. Congratulations.
We would
like to thank all of the athletes who help us in this endeavor. We
collected 55 pairs of sneakers and 5 cell phones to recycle. We also
reduced our trash by 66% from last year. We have calculated that the land filled
portion of the trash will be 100lbs.
Thank you to everyone who helped us recycle.
The clinic was a huge success with 65 athletes.
4/01/08- KLT
works with Go Wireless to recycle old cells phones as part of its sustainability

event that leaves less of an impact on the environment which as we try to educate
others on how they can help do the same during sporting events and every day
life as well as how they can help out their local communities. See all of

Each stage winner will be recognized with a special long-sleeve cycling jersey designed by Verge Sport. The series provides an excellent opportunity for first-time competitors to participate in high-quality, age-appropriate distance events, while giving the most competitive athletes a shot at winner the coveted title of New England Champion.
02/02/05 -
In addition to the Regional Championships, each region has selected a non-championship intermediate (no longer "Olympic" because USAT redefined all race course distances in 2005) distance race to serve as an additional qualifier for the National Age Group Championships. The New England Region has selected our very own Keuka Lake Intermediate Triathlon to be one of these "special qualifiers." This race will qualify athletes at the same percentage as all regional and national championships. The top 33% or top 5 (whichever is easiest to meet) in each age group will qualify for the National Age Group Championships. More info at: http://www.usatriathlon.com/Events/Champs_AG_national.htm
